Thing Industries

Thing Industries, established in 2013 by Bridie Picot, is a studio that designs optimistic and adventurous things for the home. After building her own upstate weekend cabin, Bridie’s obsession with adventurous home things that fit into little spaces was born.

Thing things are designed in New York and produced in the best location for the material, whether that be a 200-year-old wool mill in Scotland, a fair trade women’s knitting group in Bolivia or a family-owned steel fabrication plant in Los Angeles.

Thing also collaborates with people they have big design crushes on. So far that’s included Helen Levi, Lazy Mom, Jason Polan, and Amanda Jasnowski, with a few more exciting people in the pipes.

For Sight Unseen OFFSITE, Thing will be showing three new products, including the Breakfast in Bed duvet set, Stick Shelves, and Coming & Going Mirror.
