Slash Objects is an investigation of material and form by Brooklyn design firm Slash Projects. Inspired by the juxtaposition of textures, the studio’s work explores new ways of making and combining as a way to impact experiences in space. Slash Projects is a multidisciplinary firm whose work bridges physical and virtual design. Working from architecture, furniture, product and interactive, the firm explores design as an experience through varied mediums.
For Sight Unseen OFFSITE, Slash Objects explores the notion of intersection. Using a materials palette of rubber, concrete, marble, and brass, the collection plays with weight and balance to create unique and functional pieces. Using primitive shapes as a point of origin, intersections create new ways of form making while allowing disparate materials to collide in beautiful juxtaposition.
