Pascale Gueracague is a New York–based textile designer and artist. A Rhode Island School of Design alumni, she has spent the last 10 years working as a textile designer and denim specialist in the fashion industry (Alexander Wang, Hood by Air, Helmut Lang). In 2014, she began a textiles, apparel, and art-based creative platform around “studio experiments” and series-based work called ROYGBIV PROJECTS.
For Sight Unseen OFFSITE, Pascale will be debuting ROYGBIV PROJECTS’ first piece — a mixed-media textile collage. For this project, Pascale worked with one of Japan’s oldest and most premiere rope-dying denim mills, transforming these materials through wash and laser treatments into a highly textured material collage.
