Pat Kim

After Pat Kim graduated from Pratt, he held two very different jobs: toy designer at Fisher Price, and apprentice to a high-end furniture-maker in Queens. No surprise, then, that the work he’s done since launching his own studio a year ago focuses on putting a playful spin on otherwise sophisticated craft objects, from wooden desktop rockets for adults to a dinner bell in hand-bent steel and bridle leather. Kim’s versatile Zig-Zag Tray for Sight Unseen invites you to let your imagination wander — use it to store jewelry, pencils, hot dogs, or anything else you can dream up.
